Congratulations to the University of Michigan’s Open Courseware Initiative!
Our clients at Open.Michigan were just recognized with the 2011 Technical Innovation Award for OpenCourseWare Excellence by the OpenCourseWare Consortium for their courseware delivery system, known as OERbit. We wish them a sincere congratulations!
OERbit was truly one of our most engaging and challenging projects of last year; we took on the ground-up re-engineering of their courseware delivery system in Drupal. Since relaunching on the new system last fall, Open.Michigan has been able to “cut publishing time by nearly 400%.”
The OERbit code is freely available to the public as open-source software from GitHub.
Congrats, again, the the Open.Michigan team; we truly look forward to continued collaboration on OERbit!
